Surf life saving club at Broadbeach running a Nippers (junior activities) program for boys and girls aged 5 to 13, with age groups set by age at 30 September. Nippers runs on Sundays from 8:00am to 10:30am, October to March, excluding school holidays. The program teaches aquatic safety and awareness along with fitness, first aid, resuscitation and surf life saving competition; children learn to respect, read and use the surf. All children take a swim proficiency check before water activities. Families can join Sunday BBQs and the club canteen after nippers and volunteer on the beach. Note: the club says its program is full for the 2026/27 season and is not taking more enrolments; contact the Junior Activities Committee for future seasons.
