Birubi Point Surf Life Saving Club

Birubi Point Surf Life Saving Club is at Anna Bay in Port Stephens. Its Nippers program introduces children aged 5-13 to surf lifesaving, teaching water, beach and surf safety through activities focused on fun, participation and competition. Nippers runs on Sunday mornings from mid-October to late March, with a short break over Christmas and New Year. Sessions are held at Birubi Beach in two groups: U6-U9 from 8.30 to 9.30am and U10-U14 from 9.45 to 10.45am; when beach conditions are not ideal, sessions may move to Boat Harbour Beach. Parents sign their Nipper in and out and stay on the beach. Older Nippers can also compete at Hunter branch carnivals on Saturday mornings. Registration is online through the SLS Members Hub.
