Birubi Beach

Last updated October 2026

Birubi Beach at Anna Bay is one of Port Stephens Council's three patrolled beaches and the northern end of the long beach that runs to Stockton. Professional lifeguards patrol every day from September until the end of April, 9am-4pm and sometimes longer in the summer peak, and volunteer lifesavers from Birubi Point Surf Life Saving Club operate on weekends. The safest place to swim is between the red and yellow flags. Council lists a kiosk/cafe, outdoor seating and a picnic area, amenities including accessible toilets, showers, car parking and a formal access ramp onto the beach. The beach is also a 4WD gateway to the Stockton Bight sand dunes. Nearby (OpenStreetMap): Crest Birubi Beach (restaurant, about 285 m) and The Kiosk (takeaway, about 291 m).
