Yarra Bend Park

Last updated October 2026

Melbourne's largest natural bushland park, close to the city along the Yarra River, with river escarpments, woodlands, formal parklands and sports fields. Walk or cycle the trails, which Parks Victoria describes as easy to moderate; the Dights Falls Walk passes the 1840s weir, Galatea Point's river red gums and Deep Rock. Families can hire a canoe at the historic Studley Park Boathouse and paddle upstream, spot grey-headed flying foxes, and play mini golf at Yarra Bend Golf. Dogs are allowed on a lead in much of the park (off-lead at Westfield and Deep Rock), but not in playgrounds.

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
