Anakie Gorge Walk, Brisbane Ranges National Park
Last updated October 2026
An easy family walk along Stony Creek through a dry gorge in Brisbane Ranges National Park, about 80 km west of Melbourne, where wallabies and a resident koala may be seen and duck orchids and other wildflowers bloom. The track is 3.5 km one way (about 1.5 hours) on a relatively flat gradient between the Anakie Gorge and Stony Creek picnic areas, with signs explaining features along the way. Anakie Gorge Picnic Area has wood and gas barbecues, toilets, picnic tables and seats. Bring your own drinking water, as tank water is not drinkable.
