Arthurs Seat State Park
Last updated October 2026
The 314-metre summit above the Mornington Peninsula, 60 km south of Melbourne, has views that on clear days reach the Melbourne skyline, the You Yangs and Mount Macedon, with picnic and barbecue spots. Short walks include the 1 km TC McKeller Walk on a wide shaded track (45 minutes), the 1.8 km Summit Circuit past Seawinds Gardens, William Ricketts sculptures and lookouts (1 hour, some steps), and the 1 km Kings Waterfall Circuit to a waterfall that flows in wetter months (some steps and hills). The Arthurs Seat Eagle gondola runs from the base to the summit and is wheelchair and pram friendly; food and coffee are sold at the summit station. Nearby: Eagle Cafe (140 m) and Arthurs Hotel (230 m).
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
