Badger Weir walks, Yarra Ranges National Park
Last updated October 2026
A popular picnic spot in Yarra Ranges National Park, about 15 minutes' drive from Healesville, with three family-friendly nature walks from the picnic ground to Badger Creek. The Coranderrk Track (1.1 km) is flat and suits families with strollers; the Slip Creek Track (1.4 km) and Lyrebird Track (1.1 km) are easy trails with a few small steps. Allow 30-40 minutes one way. Fungi appear in autumn and winter, and in summer the creek is a place to dip your feet. Trails can be muddy after rain, so wear closed shoes, and please don't feed the birds.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
