Watsons Bay Baths
Last updated October 2026
Watsons Bay Baths is a fully accessible harbourside tidal enclosure that Woollahra Council says is popular with all age groups. It has a 50m lap pool, two floating sunbathing pontoons, a boardwalk and secure shark netting. It also has Australia's first all-ability water access ramp, with two fully immersible wheelchairs (an MLAK key is needed). The Tea Gardens next door provide toilets, change rooms and shaded kiosk seating, and the Watsons Bay ferry wharf is close by. Parking is limited on Marine Parade. No life saving services are provided. Dogs are prohibited from the enclosure. Within a short walk are Baithouse (about 60 m), Dunbar House (restaurant, about 120 m), Doyles Fishermans Wharf (takeaway, about 190 m) and Fish and Chippery (about 240 m), plus several more restaurants and takeaways.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
