Whale Beach
Last updated October 2026
Whale Beach is a surf beach in the far north of the peninsula, with Whale Beach Rockpool (25 m) at its southern end. Council lifeguards patrol the surf beaches from the last weekend of September until the last weekend of April, every day 9am-5pm and longer in the summer peak, and Whale Beach volunteers patrol every weekend and public holiday from October through April; swim between the flags. At the southern end the council lists BBQs, a playground, change rooms, toilets and pay-and-display parking.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
