Tolga Bat Hospital Visitor Centre

Tolga Bat Hospital, near Atherton on the Atherton Tableland, is a bat rescue and visitor centre that runs guided tours to meet the bats in its care. Tours are open daily all year between 3pm and 6pm, usually starting at 3pm in winter and 3:30pm in summer, and last about an hour: two short videos, then a walk around the facilities to meet the different bats, in groups of up to about 12. Bookings are essential, preferably online. Prices are $30 adults, $18 children 5-15, and $80 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. The hospital is at 134 Carrington Road, Carrington (Atherton).
