Suttons Beach

Last updated October 2026

Suttons Beach on the Redcliffe Peninsula is one of City of Moreton Bay's 2 patrolled beaches. Council says it has gentle waves and is a patrolled swimming area, ideal for children and swimmers of all ages. Lifeguards and surf lifesavers typically operate Monday to Friday from mid-September to Labour Day in May, including public holidays, and 7 days a week during school holidays; council recommends checking patrol times before you go and swimming between the red and yellow flags. Suttons Beach Park has picnic facilities, shelters, barbecues, a playground, beach showers and parking nearby, and a permanent beach mat near the Rotunda. Dogs are not allowed on the beach. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap): Seafood Lovers Cafe (cafe, about 110 m), Sunny's Margate Beach (restaurant, about 200 m) and The Komo (restaurant, about 200 m).
