Amity Point swimming enclosure

Last updated October 2026

Amity Point on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) has a council swimming enclosure at Cabarita Park, Claytons Road. Redland City Council describes its swimming enclosures as enclosed areas in bay waters where you can enjoy safer swimming, recreation and play. Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service says the enclosed swimming areas at Dunwich and Amity make them ideal for families with young children, and warns not to swim in the deep channel out from Amity because of strong currents and the possible presence of sharks. The enclosure is not patrolled. Council monitors water quality at popular Redlands beaches. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap): Sealevel 21 (restaurant, about 370 m).
