Margate Beach
Last updated October 2026
Margate Beach runs the full length of Margate Parade on the Redcliffe Peninsula. Council says you can cool off in the shallow water, build a sandcastle with your kids or play catch on the shoreline, with direct beach access from Margate Beach Park. The beach is not patrolled: City of Moreton Bay's only patrolled beaches are Suttons Beach and Woorim Beach. The park has a wheelchair-friendly boardwalk along the beach, viewing huts with sheltered seating, a covered picnic set, an electric barbecue, fitness equipment and a nearby public toilet and shower. Within a short walk are EG Australia (about 250 m) and Pilpel (about 400 m).
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
