Scarborough Beach
Last updated October 2026
Scarborough Beach is a Moreton Bay beach on the Redcliffe Peninsula beside Scarborough Beach Park, with views of Moreton Island. Council describes the park as a popular place for families, where you can enjoy a barbecue, swim at the beach and let the kids explore the fenced playground. The beach is not patrolled: City of Moreton Bay's only patrolled beaches are Suttons Beach and Woorim Beach. Scarborough Beach Park has barbecues, picnic facilities, two themed playgrounds (Pirate Place and Railway Place) inside a fenced area, a jumping pillow (7am-6pm October to March, 8am-5pm April to September), a basketball half court, accessible parking bays and accessible toilets. Within a short walk are 3EightNine (about 100 m), Landing (about 150 m), Scarborough Beach Pharmacy (about 100 m) and Danny's (about 100 m), plus several other places to eat.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
