Wellington Point Recreation Reserve beach

Last updated October 2026

The beach at Wellington Point Recreation Reserve is described by Redland City Council as one of its most loved beaches on the Redlands Coast. Surf Life Saving Queensland lifeguards supervise the beach during the summer lifesaving season, September to April; council's Accessible Beach Program runs there on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 10am-4pm in season, Monday to Friday during the September and Easter school holidays (10am-4pm) and Christmas school holidays (9am-5pm). The free program offers beach matting and a WaterWheels beach wheelchair (bookings essential). The reserve has an accessible beach shower, accessible toilets, eight disabled parking spaces, more toilets with a change room near the cafes, and a wide flat path. Check tide times before you go. Within a short walk are Oxley's On The Bay (about 100 m) and Oxley's On The Bay Ice Creamery (about 100 m).

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
