Cylinder Beach
Last updated October 2026
Cylinder Beach at Point Lookout on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) is described by Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service as a very popular, sheltered beach with a lovely calm inshore area for families, next to a well serviced camping area. Its point break off the headland is used by surfers and body boarders, so stay in the calm inshore area. No official council or club page we could read gives patrol days or hours; check conditions on arrival. Reaching the island needs a vehicle or passenger ferry from Cleveland to Dunwich. Within a short walk are Cylinder’s (about 150 m) and Manta Ray Bistro (about 300 m).
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
