Redland Bay swimming enclosure (Ruster's Reserve)
Last updated October 2026
Redland Bay's council swimming enclosure is at Ruster's Reserve on The Esplanade, corner of Moores Road - the only mainland swimming enclosure listed by Redland City Council. Council describes its swimming enclosures as enclosed areas in bay waters where you can enjoy safer swimming, recreation and play. The enclosure is not patrolled. Council monitors water quality at popular Redlands beaches; it may close a site or put up 'Do not swim' signs when bacteria levels are high, and recommends avoiding swimming during and for three days after heavy rain. Within a short walk is Pelican Cafe (about 300 m).
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
