Seaford Life Saving Club
Last updated October 2026
Volunteer-run life saving club founded in 1936 on the Seaford foreshore, providing beach patrols, first aid and lifesaving training. Its Nippers program is a beach education program for children aged under 6 to under 14, run on Friday nights from December to March, 4:45pm to 6:30pm. Activities include beach flags, sprints and relays, wading, board paddling, swimming, basic first aid and CPR, surf, sun and beach safety. Nippers is not a learn-to-swim program; children do a preliminary swim assessment. All nippers join through a family membership and a parent must help run the program. The club says it is not accepting new Nipper memberships for 2025-26 and 2026-27 and its 2026-2027 wait list is closed.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
