Volunteer life saving club on Sandringham Beach, Beach Road, patrolling the beach on weekends and public holidays in summer. Its Nippers program is for children in age groups U6 to U13 (at least five years old) on Saturday afternoons from December to March: beach games, relays, water activities and practical water-safety learning adjusted for each age group. A parent or guardian must stay on the beach. Families join through a Family & Nipper Membership, and each child needs a preliminary swim assessment before their first session. The U13 Cadet program prepares older Nippers for the pathway towards patrolling.
