Redcliffe Peninsula Surf Life Saving Club at Suttons Beach runs Nippers (Junior Activities) for children aged 5 to 13 as of 30 September. On Nipper Sundays, U8-U14 nippers rotate through beach sprint, beach flags, boards and swim arenas, while U6 and U7 green caps play beach and water games in their own arena; all age groups do lessons towards their Junior Age Award, and U14s work towards the Surf Rescue Certificate. Sign-on is at 8:15am for an 8:30am start; U6/U7 finish about 10am and older groups between 10:30am and 11am. Children must pass a pool and beach evaluation, and a parent or guardian must stay on the beachfront. The clubhouse has toilets and hot showers, and a volunteer kiosk opens during Nippers. Sign-on for 2026/27 has closed; a mailing list gives notice of next season's expressions of interest.
