Queenscliff Beach

Last updated October 2026

Queenscliff Beach is the northern end of the Manly surf beach, within a 10-minute walk of Manly Wharf, and a headland tunnel connects it via the rocks to Freshwater Beach. The surf club sits just south of the usually closed lagoon entrance, and Queenscliff Rockpool is at this end of the beach. Council lifeguards patrol from the last weekend of September until the last weekend of April, every day 9am-5pm and longer in the summer peak; swim between the flags. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap) are The Corner at Queensie (cafe, about 250 m), Ruby Lane (cafe, about 310 m), Pittwater Rd Pharmacy (pharmacy, about 340 m) and Salty Rooster (takeaway, about 240 m), plus several restaurants.
