Surf life saving club on Beach Road at Goolwa Beach on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Its Nipper Development Program is for children aged 5 to 12 (age groups U6 to U13) and focuses on having fun and surf education: personal safety, sun safety, first aid basics, rescue techniques, and board paddling, swimming and running skills. Nippers can also take part in surf sport carnivals if they wish. A parent must join with each nipper, so the club sells nipper family memberships, from $180 for one adult and one child. Parents are encouraged to help with water cover, training, fundraising or the BBQ.
