Grange Beach
Last updated October 2026
Grange Surf Lifesaving Club patrols this stretch of the Adelaide coast from October to April. The club sets up its patrol base tent on Grange beach next to the Grange Jetty and roves from Reedie Street, Henley Beach, north to Point Malcolm Reserve at Semaphore Park, so swim between the red and yellow flags near the jetty. The western councils' Adelaide Beaches site says lifesavers patrol on weekends and public holidays; patrol hours are not published. Do not swim in discoloured water after rain. In the City of Charles Sturt, dogs must be on a lead of 2 metres or less on the foreshore from 10am to 8pm during daylight saving, and may be off lead under effective control outside those times. Within a short walk are Grange Kiosk (about 198 m), Grange Hotel (about 219 m), Grange Fish Shop (about 270 m) and Bora (about 348 m), with more cafés, restaurants and shops nearby.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
