Balls Head Reserve is a North Sydney Council bushland reserve at the southern end of Balls Head Drive, Waverton, with views over Sydney Harbour and the city. The council describes it as open forest with several picnic areas, barbecues, dedication plaques and foreshore caves. A historic flagpole stands 90 metres above sea level, and the NSW Government page notes the reserve still has Aboriginal art sites and rock engravings, as well as an on-site cafe. There is one large carpark on the headland, plus street parking on Balls Head Road. The reserve is a five to 10 minute walk from Waverton railway station. No entry fees or opening hours are listed on the council page. The reserve is managed by North Sydney Council under its bushland plan of management.
