Palm Beach ('Palmy') is patrolled by two surf life saving clubs; the City of Gold Coast describes Pacific Surf Life Saving Club as a smaller, family-oriented club. Lifeguards patrol Tower 14 (Jefferson Lane, near Palm Beach Surf Life Saving Club) between 8am and 5pm between November and April and during school holidays, and Tower 15 (near Pacific Surf Lifesaving Club) between 8am and 5pm every day between November and April and during school holidays. Swim between the red and yellow flags. Several parks along the beach have toilets, tables, beach showers and shade structures. There is limited parking at the surf club and on-street parking. Dogs are not allowed within 200 metres of the flags. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap) are Tango Gelato Palm Beach (about 200 m), Down 2 Earth Cafe (about 230 m) and Coles, a supermarket (about 260 m), plus several other places to eat.
