Palm Beach South is the southern end of Palm Beach, beside Palm Beach Parklands. The City of Gold Coast says the nearby parklands are popular with families and that the southern end of the beach is dog friendly. Lifeguards patrol Tower 13 (beach side of Palm Beach Parklands) between 8am and 5pm on weekends between September and April and during school holidays. Swim between the red and yellow flags. Several parks along Palm Beach have toilets, tables, beach showers and shade structures. There is limited parking at the surf club and on-street parking. Dogs are not allowed within 200 metres of the flags. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap) is Dune Cafe (about 270 m).
