North Steyne Surf Life Saving Club

North Steyne SLSC has served North Steyne Beach in Manly since 1907 and runs Nippers for children aged 5-13. The season starts the first Sunday after the October school holidays and runs to March, with sessions on Sunday mornings from 9am to 11am on the sand in front of the surf club. Children take part in beach and water activities run by age group managers, with water activities supervised by accredited volunteer water safety. U6 and U7 need no assessment, while U8-U14 complete a proficiency swim before water activities. A parent must be on the beach during sessions and families do at least two volunteer duties per child per season. Registrations usually open in August and places in each age group are limited.
