North Bondi SLSC runs Sunday morning Nippers for children aged 5-14 at the north end of Bondi Beach. Kids take part in age group activities in and out of the water, including swimming, board paddling, shallow wading, beach running and flags, and learn about ocean and surf environments, CPR, basic first aid and responding to a rescue, with the aim that at 13 they can gain their Surf Rescue Certificate. The 2026-27 season runs from 18 October 2026 to 21 March 2027 in two sessions (7:45am-9:00am and 9:00am-10:15am). A parent or guardian must be on the beach at all times, and Nippers is not a learn-to-swim program. Registration for the 2026-27 season is closed.
