Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre, 77 km north of Cairns and 20 km north of Port Douglas, is the gateway to the Mossman Gorge section of the Daintree Rainforest. Shuttle tickets are $15.50 adult, $7.75 child (5-15) and $38.75 family; infants 0-4 ride free, and a $2.70 per person Queensland Government fee is added from 18 October 2026. Self-guided walks include the 270 m Baral Marrjanga boardwalk to a river lookout, suitable for wheelchairs and strollers, the Rex Creek suspension bridge and a 2.4 km rainforest circuit. The 1.5-hour Ngadiku Dreamtime Walk with Kuku Yalanji guides (daily 10am to 2pm, from $105 adult, $53 child) includes a smoking ceremony, bush foods, ochre painting and damper. The centre warns the Mossman River is unsupervised and dangerous to enter. As of October 2026.
