Go Ride A Wave runs the NRMA SurfGroms kids' surf program at Greenmount Beach, Coolangatta, for children aged 5 to 12. The school-holiday intensive is a 4-day program, Monday to Thursday, with 1.5-hour sessions from 8:00 am to 9:30 am; term programs usually run one day a week for 4 weeks on Saturdays or Sundays. Kids learn to surf on gentle beginner waves and build ocean awareness and beach safety skills, taught by Surfing Australia instructors. The price includes four lessons, a surfboard, a rashie, a surf safety introduction and a SurfGroms starter pack; wetsuits are provided in winter. The group meets in the car park on the south side of Greenmount Surf Life Saving Club.
