Bonbeach is a wide sandy 1.5 km beach with bathing boxes and natural habitat, running from Chelsea Beach to the Patterson River. Bonbeach Life Saving Club patrols on weekends and public holidays from noon to 5pm (to 6pm over the New Year period) from 14 November 2026 until April. The council describes it as a wheelchair friendly beach with accessible toilets, a shower, paths and ticketed parking. There is an off-leash dog area.
