Beenyup Swamp Circuit, Yellagonga Regional Park

A 2.4 km Class 2 (easy) circuit around Beenyup Swamp, a shallow wetland in the heart of Yellagonga Regional Park in Perth's northern suburbs; it takes under an hour. Start at the northern entry off Woodvale Drive, follow the limestone path and boardwalk through flooded gum and paperbark, cross the bridge and return along the shared path. The wetlands are home to resident and migratory birds, swamp tortoises and tiger snakes, so keep to the path. There is no entry fee and no toilets at this spot. Dogs are allowed on this trail.
