Surf life saving club at Trigg Beach running Woodside Nippers, Surf Life Saving WA's junior surf program for children aged 5 to 12. Sessions are on Sunday mornings at Trigg Beach, generally from October to March. The curriculum covers surf skills and reading the surf, recognising risks at the beach, an introduction to lifesaving, and surf sports such as swimming, boards and beach flags. Each child receives a pack with an age group cap, hi-vis vest and wide-brimmed hat. Before water activities, children complete an age-based preliminary evaluation (swim and survival float). A parent or guardian must be present at every session, and each Nipper registration needs a parent member. The club also offers an 8-week inclusive/adaptive program. Registration is through the SLS Hub.
