The Channel Seven Wheel of Brisbane is a 60-metre Ferris wheel at South Bank with 42 enclosed, air-conditioned gondolas. A ride lasts 10 to 15 minutes, about 4 rotations with a stop at the top, and each gondola has an audio commentary about city landmarks. A gondola holds up to 6 adults plus 2 children aged 11 and under; infants count in the total and need a ticket. Prams and large bags cannot go on board, but there is pram parking and storage on the platform. Two gondolas are fitted for wheelchair access. No booking is needed: buy tickets at the ticket booth, or online for a 5% discount. Ticket prices are not printed on the website itself. It is open Sunday to Thursday 10am to 10pm and Friday and Saturday 10am to 11pm, and the noticeboard lists any changed hours. Private birthday gondola bookings start at 152 dollars.
