Seqwater mountain bike trail network at Hinze Dam, Advancetown, with a 1.5km easier Family Loop and intermediate trails.

The Peter Hallinan Mountain Bike Precinct is a network of purpose-built mountain bike trails on the northern side of Hinze Dam, run by Seqwater. Entry is via the dam wall off Advancetown Road. The public can ride the trails when competitions are not running. Seqwater's ride map shows the 1.5km Family Loop rated easier, plus intermediate trails including Duncan's Creek Climb, Top Down and the 2.6km Bill's Loop; Seqwater's web page now says there are five trails. Recreation areas at Hinze Dam are open 5.30am to 6.30pm from September to April and 6am to 5.30pm from May to August, and car park gates close at those times. Riders must wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear and carry drinking water. No walking, horses or dogs are allowed on the trails. Trails can close for weather, events or maintenance, so check Seqwater's recreation notices before going.
