The Margaret River Chocolate Company's Swan Valley factory at 5123 West Swan Road, West Swan, is about 20 minutes from the Perth CBD. Entry is free, and visitors get complimentary chocolate tastings, a large chocolate showroom, a cafe and production viewing windows where you can watch parts of the chocolate-making process; production schedules vary, so it may not be visible on every visit. The factory also runs a one-hour Junior Chocolatier Class on selected dates for children and adults aged 6 and over, where participants make their own chocolates, including two personalised Giant Freckles, to take home. As of October 2026 it costs $58.50 per person and is booked online. Under-6s can join with a paying parent, and both need a ticket. Enclosed shoes and tied-back hair are required. The factory is open daily 9am to 5pm, closed Christmas Day. No dogs.
