Self-guided gold exhibition with live gold pours at The Perth Mint, 310 Hay Street, East Perth; entry every 30 minutes, 9:30am-3:30pm daily.

The Perth Mint is at 310 Hay Street, East Perth. From 19 October 2026, during restoration works, its guided Gold Tour is replaced by a self-guided ticket, Discover The Perth Mint. It covers the heritage building and exhibition, including the one-tonne Australian Kangaroo gold coin, a 500kg gold bar, galleries of gold nuggets and historic coins, and regular live gold pours in the original melting house. Entry times run every 30 minutes from 9:30am to 3:30pm daily, booked online (as of October 2026, tickets are on sale to 30 November). The Mint's booking page lists tickets at $23 for adults, $13 for children 5 to 15 and $20 concession (Australian concession card holders and students), with children 0 to 4 free and a small-group ticket for 2 adults and 2 children at $65. Children under 15 must be with an adult. The free shop and grounds open 9am to 5pm daily. The Mint is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day. Wide passageways and ramps suit wheelchairs and prams.
