The Painted Teapot is a pottery painting studio at 95 Rokeby Road, Subiaco, where you choose a ceramic piece and paint it, then the studio glazes and fires it in the kiln. Pieces are usually ready 1-2 weeks after painting and you get an SMS when they can be collected; unclaimed items are kept for 3 months. As of October 2026 a session costs $8 per painter plus the price of the pottery, which ranges from $20 to $100. Bookings are advised and payment is taken in store at the end of the session. Opening hours are Monday, Wednesday and Saturday 10am-2pm, Thursday 10am-2pm and 5pm-9pm, Friday and Sunday 10am-6pm, and closed Tuesday. Non-alcoholic drinks are allowed while painting, but food is best left until afterwards. The studio can also be hired for parties, including kids parties, with prices quoted on enquiry.
