The Lakes Park is a free Cairns Regional Council park in the Forest Gardens estate at Mount Sheridan, with its playground on the corner of Sawpit Street and Foxtail Street. The council describes a colourful playground with a slide, swing set and spinning equipment, tennis and basketball courts, paved pathways around the lake, a lookout bridge where children can feed the ducks, small waterfalls and lily pads, shade trees and sheltered seating near the playground for picnics.
