Goomboora Park is a Cairns Regional Council park on Shale Street, Brinsmead, beside Freshwater Creek. The council describes wide open parkland with large shade trees and shelters, picnic tables and a woodfire barbecue, and a shallow waterhole where children and dogs can swim. The playground has a naturally styled rope course with a flying fox, nets and balancing equipment, and the council lists it as wheelchair accessible. There is also a dog off-leash area.
