South Port Beach

South Port Beach is where the Onkaparinga River meets the sea, below red sandstone cliffs. South Port SLSC volunteers patrol on weekends and some public holidays from late October to early April. The council also notes surf lifesaving carnivals are held here. Patrol hours are not published on the club or council pages, so swim between the flags when they are up, and avoid discoloured water after rain.
