Glover Playground South is a City of Adelaide playground in Blue Gum Park/Kurangga (Park 20) on South Terrace, near the Unley Road and Pulteney Street intersection. The council says it opened in December 1918 as the first of four playgrounds on the Adelaide Park Lands, and that it is one of the most used playgrounds in the Park Lands. As of October 2026 the council is planning a renewal of the existing playground. Its project timeline shows concept design during 2026, community consultation on the concept in late 2026, and construction in 2027-2028. The council says the playground will stay in its current location, some equipment will be replaced or upgraded to meet current safety standards, and there will likely be temporary closures during construction with advance notice. The renewed design aims to be more inclusive and accessible for children of different ages and abilities.
