Guided tours of a private sea urchin and shell gallery in Kurrajong; tours from $50 per person, homeschool groups $25.

The Sea Urchin Science Centre and Gallery at 18E Florence Avenue, Kurrajong, is a private gallery of sea urchin and mollusc (shell) specimens from around the world, opened in 2018 by sea urchin taxonomist Ashley Miskelly. Visits are guided tours of its sea urchin theme cabinets, worldwide biodiversity gallery and mollusc exhibits. As of October 2026, a one-hour Drop-By Tour costs $50 per person, the three-hour Awe-Inspiring Tour $95 and the three-and-a-half-hour Phenomenal Tour $115. Group Discovery Tours for 15 to 40 people cost $25 per person; for homeschooling groups these include a one-hour hands-on introduction, a handout and a shell for each student to keep, and attending parents are free. Bookings are made by phone on 0422 240 381 or online; visitors may also drop by. Children under 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult, and no food or drink is allowed inside. On-site parking is available.
