Rippon Lea Estate is a National Trust 1868 mansion and 7 hectares of gardens at 192 Hotham Street, Elsternwick, and an accredited museum. Garden entry is child (3-15) $9 and family $40 for 2 adults and 2 children; mansion and garden tours cost child $5 and family $25. The grounds have a lake, fernery, orchard and lawns for picnics, a tea room, and occasional family fun days. Open 10am to 5pm September to April and 10am to 4pm May to August.
