Learner's Cycleway Playground

Learn-to-ride bike loop with a playground, toilets and a free barbecue in the Fearnley Grounds precinct of Centennial Park.

The Learners' Cycleway is a one-way, surfaced loop track in Centennial Park where children of all ages can practise riding their bikes. It sits in the Fearnley Grounds precinct in the south-west corner of the park, off Grand Drive. A children's playground sits within the cycleway, with toilets, large shade trees and a barbecue nearby; Centennial Parklands says this barbecue is one of six free barbecues in Centennial Park, and there is a covered picnic area with tables. All children must wear a bike helmet on the cycleway, and parents must not park in the Grand Drive cycle lane to drop off children and bikes. Centennial Park Cycles hires bikes nearby, seven days a week, and the Greenhouse café in the same precinct serves coffee, meals and gelato.
