Dinosaur Valley at Scenic World
Last updated September 2026
On 26 September 2026 - 31 January 2027: Dinosaur Valley fills the rainforest floor at Scenic World in the Blue Mountains with more than 60 life-size dinosaurs - over 32 species, seven of them new this season. Alongside favourites like T. rex, Brachiosaurus and Stegosaurus, you'll meet Cryolophosaurus, the largest known predator found in Antarctica, and Australia's own Kakuru. Kids get a Dinosaur Valley Passport to work out which species ruled which continent, and Dinosaur Rangers bring out a baby dinosaur to pat. Getting down to the valley is half the fun: the ticket includes unlimited rides on the Scenic Railway (the world's steepest), the Skyway and the Cableway for the day. Good to Know It's about 90 minutes' drive from Sydney, or take the train to Katoomba. Open 9am-5pm on weekdays and 8:45am-6pm on weekends. Kids under 3 are free, and sessions can sell out in the holidays, so book online. Some boardwalk sections have stairs, so a running pram copes better than a small stroller. The Dino Diner does kids' meals, which come with a Dinosaur Valley activity sheet.
