Clovelly Beach

Last updated October 2026

Clovelly Beach is a small, tranquil beach at the end of a narrow bay, and Randwick Council says it is popular with families and snorkellers. Concrete platforms line both sides of the bay, with access steps into the water, so it is more like a large ocean pool than a beach. The lowest platform on the southern side holds a 25 x 6 metre saltwater pool, and a ramp on the northern side gives disabled access to the water. Randwick City Lifeguards and volunteer surf lifesavers patrol the beach all year round, 8am to 6pm in daylight saving and 7am to 5pm otherwise. There are public toilets and change facilities, a café at the beach, and free street parking plus a large free car park on the southern side. Dogs, alcohol and glass bottles are not permitted on the beach. Within a short walk are Seasalt Cafe (about 100 m), The Clovelly Hotel (pub, about 140 m) and Meet me at Clovelly (about 170 m).

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
