Buley Rockhole

Last updated October 2026

Buley Rockhole in Litchfield National Park is a series of small, rapid-flowing streams with water ranging from small deep plunge pools to shallow rock pools. There are no ramps or easy access into the water; you walk over natural rock beds to reach the pools. NT Parks lists Buley Rockhole as a swimming area all year except during extreme flooding, but only swim when the swimming area open sign is up, as saltwater crocodiles live in Top End fresh and salt water. Public toilets are provided. If the car park is full, park at Florence Falls and take the 3.2 km Florence Creek walk (Grade 2, easy). Interstate visitors need an NT Parks Visitor Pass ($10 adult, $5 child per day).

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
