Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve
Last updated October 2026
Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve is a 45-minute drive from Darwin and one of the easiest places in the NT to see wetlands and wildlife all year; it is the only NT wetland you can reach year round without a four-wheel drive. Birds gather around the dam wall, and the reserve is a haven for water pythons, freshwater turtles and other wildlife. Bird hides on the dam wall and Pandanus Knoll Lookout overlook the wetlands, and several walks, including the Monsoon Walk and the Woodlands to Water Lilies Walk, pass through monsoon and floodplain habitats. Water lilies bloom from December to July. Interstate visitors need an NT Parks Visitor Pass ($10 adult, $5 child per day); NT residents are exempt.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
