Best of All Lookout

Last updated April 2026

Best of All Lookout is a magical spot tucked away in Springbrook National Park, where families can soak up breathtaking views of the lush rainforest and spot Byron Bay on the horizon. This short, family-friendly nature walk is perfect for little legs, offering a rewarding sense of adventure with every step. **What to Bring** Sturdy shoes or hiking boots Water bottle and snacks Sun hat and sunscreen Insect repellent (just in case!) Camera or binoculars to spot wildlife **Best Age Range** 5–12 years (great for all ages, but younger kids may need a hand on steeper sections) **Good to Know** The lookout is a 1.5km return walk from the car park, mostly flat but with a few short steep sections. Keep an eye out for the resident brush turkeys and rainbow lorikeets! Entry fees apply for the national park. **Nearby** Springbrook Rainforest Park playground (5-minute drive) Natural Bridge (a magical glowworm walk, 10 minutes away) Best of All Falls Circuit (a longer walk with waterfalls, 15 minutes away) **Tips From Other Parents** Bring a picnic to enjoy at the lookout—there are picnic tables nearby, but no cafes in the park. If your kids love spotting animals, bring a small notebook to tick off what you see (we once counted 5 different types of birds in one visit!).
